About Lizzie...

Lizzie (she/her) is an educator, director, and producer based in Philadelphia, originally from Scranton. She has taught and directed in spaces in Philadelphia including The University of Pennsylvania and Walnut Street Theatre, and serves as an Associate Producer and the Director of Education at the Scranton Shakespeare Festival. Recently, she produced Spring Awakening at Philadelphia's newest equity theatre, Relic Theatre Company, which was directed by Original Broadway Cast member Robi Hager.

As a movement-based director, Lizzie is drawn to haunting, ensemble-driven, witty, and immersive texts (not necessarily altogether). As an educator, Lizzie built the Scranton Shakespeare Festival Youth Ensemble conservatory program. The Youth Ensemble, a competitive summer performing arts intensive for young artists, has become a coveted ensemble in Northeastern Pennsylvania that hones in on full-length Shakespeare plays and musicals, student-devised showcases, master classes with professional artists in varying niche topics, as well as team-building and portfolio-development for teens. She's also responsible for the cultivation of its ancillary programming, including a youth pit instrumentalist group, designer and directing shadowing programs, and playwriting workshops for middle-schoolers.

A lover of Thai food, needlepointing, cooking and baking, and her cat Hazel, she is also a Halloween and true crime enthusiast. Her favorite book is The Secret History by Donna Tartt and she has watched "10 Things I Hate About You" more times than she's willing to admit.
